Empanelments

At the start of the process, the insurance company sets a list of criteria; once the provider agrees to fulfill said criteria, they can be contracted. Ultimately, the aim is to, against a specified reimbursable payment, deliver the benefits package. This is called ‘Empanelment’.

The network of providers on the insurance panel provide services to enrolled customers. In order to learn the ins and outs of  benefits package, the insurance company will train all empanelled providers; training will include claims, reimbursement, and technology.
